DODGE TRUCK 1975 900 BIG HORN Short Nose PROTOTYPE 8x10 B&W Glossy Photo
Price: US $9.99

This is an excellent high quality 8” x 10” black & white glossy photo new reproduction of a 1975 DODGE BIG HORN ‘SHORT NOSE’ 900 factory photo, “the truck that never was”.

My original photo came from Dodge Public Relations, P. O. Box 857, Detroit, Michigan 48231 for release after September 22, 1974. It is a “Dodge News Photo” #75-4025-42. This truck carries a 1975 Ohio license plate.

”SAMPLE” will not appear on your photo, it is only on the scanned image. Laying the “SAMPLE” sheet over the photo for the scan, causes the image to be slightly yellowed. Your photo reproduction will be pure black & white with no yellow cast.

HISTORY OF THE DODGE BIG HORN: The CNT9500 Dodge Big Horn ‘Long Nose’ was produced from late 1972 to May of 1975, when Dodge ceased production. Of the 261 Big Horns to be produced in their short production life, an estimated 108 are still in existence. The CN/CNT900 “Short Nose” was to have appeared in production in late 1975 or early ’76, but never did. Apparently only 2 prototypes of these trucks were built, one with a Cummins, the other with a Detroit. Scheduled for production at the Dodge Detroit Sherwood Truck Plant, the Big Horn 900 was to be available with Detroit Diesel 6-71N or 8V-71N engines or Cummins NH 230, NTC 250, 270,290 and 350 with forward tilting, reinforced fiberglass front end. For various reasons Dodge ceased production of the 900 before it went into actual production.
