‘Cozy Kitty’ White Kitten Cat is a dollhouse miniature reclining kitten cat sculpture I created freehand using polymer clay with an embedded skeleton of delicate wire initsneck, legs and tail.Its pose is relaxed in nature, with onepaw slightly curled upwards as ifto express complete contentment within itssurroundings >^..^<
Once thetinyclay sculpture formhad cured in the oven and cooled, Icarefully carved additional details into its hardened clay surface, and applied an undercoat of acrylic paints. I chose to dress this reclining kitten cat in a permanent, lifelike coat of pure, soft white alpaca fibers and flock using tweezers, scissors and glue. Its sleepy pale blue eyes were hand-painted and sealed in a clear resin. Additional details include: tiny rooted whiskers, a mint green silk bow collar, and a wire-based tail that can be gently posed. It is an exacting process from start to finish, but guarantees that each miniature animal I create is an exclusive, one-of-a-kind collectible treasure!
