E. Howard & Co. Master Clock
Price: US $2045.00

Up for sale is a very nice E. Howard & Company Master Clock. This type of clock was used most often in factories and schools to coordinate the many slave clocks throughouta building. This master clock controlled the slave clocks by sending out a signal every 30 seconds which advanced each clock at the same time. This master clock has an auto wind feature which winds the clockapproximately every other day. It is very cool to watch the weight wind up after a large switch lever is automatically thrown. Once the lever drops, a 110V motor starts which winds up the weight, stopping once the lever is thrown to the off position automatically. The case is oak and is 60\" tall by 26\" wide at thetopand 11\" deep at thetop.

E. Howard & Co. made some of the finest clocks produced in this country. The large movement is nickel plated and has a dead beat escapement. The movement has been completely cleaned and all pivots polished. The slave clock is missingthe cover and runs on a 24v system. I have not set up a 24v transformer for the slave so it is unknown if it works. The large pendulum still has its original damascening. The dial is in near perfect condition and the hands are original.

The movement can be wound with a crank key in addition to the auto wind option. The large leadweight is designed to trip the auto wind switch every other day. There is also a small counter weight which helpsgive tension tothe ladder chain, keeping it on track.

This clock is for local pick up only. It is quite heavy. If shipping is needed I will assist with pickup by a shipping company. However all shippingand packing arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer.

USA only, no international buyers.
