-- DESCRIPTION : Here we have a Rare and Important Midecentury Modern Estate Fine. This late 1940\'s-1950 Eames for Herman Miller Fiberglass and Cast Iron Planter Jardiniere or Vase. This came out of a Stunning Mid century modern home. The previous owner purchase this \"With Herman Miller Eames Sticker\" themselves back in 1949 I am told. This gentlmen is 90+ years old and remembers purchasing it and it having it\'s once original paint (some still intact) it was a yellow green I am told. This still has it\'s Original Plastic shoes on the bottom of the feet. Only a few of these are known to exist as they were always left \"Outside\" as this obviously was. Fiberglass planter body measures 13 3/4\" across x 11 3/4\" tall. It sits inside it\'s original cast Iron 3 footed base. This measures 18\" tall and the fiberlgass body only comes up 1/2\" above this. Do your research as I\'m told this belongs in a museum. The cast iron base is in fine condition minus some patina or some superficial rusty areas to the outside of the metal itself. This can be cleaned off as its full metal and Not rusted, just a thin layer that will come off. I\'ve been told to keept it as it gives age. The fiberglass body which I am told NEVER is usually found is in decent condition with it\'s original color of grey and was used as a planter. Some residue on the bottom inside but nice outside. A cracks from the bottom up about 10\" inches, but it stops. I am told again this doesnt take away as these are NEVER found. This is RARE and Important. A Eames lover\'s dream to find this. Would look fantasic in any home or outdoors. Appraised very high and offering at sale with ~~. I do combine shipping!
