Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Face Jug with Applied Lizard, Signed \"Chester Hewell\", 1985. This is a real find for the collector of Hewell Face Jugs. Just over 10 inches tall and 9 inches wide from ear to ear. The Gillsville clan does it best and Chester is very desirable. There is a hair line crack in the glaze at the back of the head. It is only surface and does not go through the jug. Near mint condition. Serious offers only.
