Early Circa 1880-1900 NAVAJO/HOPI Large \"Eagle Dancer\" Silver Pin/Pendant ~ Estate Find
I just recently acquired this Wonderful piece from an Estate tag sale in Knoxville, Arkansas and was told that it dated from 1880 to 1900 and that it had originally belonged to their Great Grandparents who were originally from New Mexico. The 2 brothers who were liquidating their parents estate stated that it was made by either HOPI or NAVAJO Indians, so I listed Navajo in the title, but I truly believe that it was made by Hopi Indians. Not sure what type of stone or if maybe if it isn\'t bone that it is inlaid with, but I believe it is either Sterling or Coin Silver. There are no markings, so I cannot be sure that it is Sterling... as I know that sometimes Native Americans used German Silver in their Jewelry making. It is a large piece measuring approximately 3-3/4\" tall x 3-1/4\" wide and it weighs a total of 44.3 grams. It is missing the pin on the back (see photos), but should be easy enough to have replaced if you desire to do so. It is just as I found it and has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way. Will make a Fantastic addition to anyone\'s vintage collection!!Please email me with any questions. Payment is due in 7 days. Payment by PayPal only.Sorry, NO International shipping on this item.
