Early Pontil Bottle, Dr. Bordeau’s Hartshorn Liniment, Original Label
Price: US $109.51
Very early labeled patent medicine bottle with original label for Dr. Bordeau’s Hartshorn Liniment from Buck & Newland, Sole Proprietors, Cor. Church and Main Sts., Brasher Falls, New York. The 12-sided bottle stands 4.5” tall and is in very good condition with no damage. It has a fairly crude rolled lip which has a small glob of excess glass on one side from when the bottle was made. The base features a rough pontil as seen in the photos. The bottle still retains its 99% complete original label that wraps almost entirely around the bottle. The label includes directions for use and states that the price was 25 cents. Nice early quack medicine bottle that has survived in a remarkable state of preservation.
