Offered in this sale todayis this beautiful hard to findHighlysoughtafter Emerson m-EC-347pre-war c-1940 all tube compact wood table radio,original fully restored 5 tube set. Exhibiting walnut brown color aged finish original cabinethandmadeby Ingraham of connecticut,gorgeous etched brass dial illuminated brightly and with a deco propeller dial pointer! This is a Deco woodpre warradio that exhibits the waterfall deco grill over the speaker,very interesting design feature and most times found cracked or veneer missing,Not this one!! There are age related minor marks notedin or onthe cabinet. There are some very small age marks,and some antique aged finish crazing oneachside of the cabinet top,and front facade indicative of 70+years of normal use. The back isnewlyre-fabricated and fits solid!
This radio is in excellent original condition in and out for this vintage,we cleaned all of the aged grime from the cabinet andlightly coated the wood with conditioner and polished the finish leaving behind the aged antiqueoriginal finish! No candy coated clear lacquer look,just a beautiful natural aged patina!The exterior may not be 100% perfect but looks gorgeous on display,and sounds great!
Original bakelite knobs (Not reproduction).The power cord was replaced at some point and is safe for use,with a very cleantotallyrestored chassis andrecently repairedspeaker cone that sounds excellent with very mellow deep tone. Excellent working condition with static free clean sounding audio from this small compact size all wood design radio.
