Descendant of John Blunt a successful shipping executive. Maj. Baron Blunt married Sibell Lilian Blunt Mackenzie, 3rd Countess Comartie. From one of the largest land owning families in central Europe.
The set made by Martin & Hall. Sheffield in 1903.
Detachable beaded edge shaped nozzles.
Atop elegant Corinthian capital. Unique paneled column. Squared beaded edge pedestal base, with period presentation.
This important set of 1903 Baron Blunt presentation table candlesticks 10 1/2 inches tall.
Weighted base.
Hallmarked as shown.
In very fine condition. Rich, lustreous silver patina. The Corinthian work retains most all its detail. Stands perfectly even on shelf. Mild wear scattered dints along base edge only.
