ENGLISH STERLING SILVER CANDLESTICKS; RAM\'S HEAD AND GARLAND; SHEFFIELD, 1895

We are quite pleased to offer this fine pair of English sterling silver Neoclassical table candlesticks.

In the George III manner.

From the well listed Sheffield firm of Hawksworth and Eyre in 1895. First listed 1892.

Elegant tapering urn nozzle adorned with ribbon tied garland.

Boldly fashioned ram\'s head at each corner of the slender paneled tapering columns.

United by floral garland. The ram\'s heads continued long tapering legs to stepped hoof feet.

The squared, filled, bases with Neoclassical urns, amidst star burst medallion and garland.

Never monogrammed.

Pair of English George III style candlesticks are 12 inches tall and 5 1/4 square at base. They are weighted.

Full hallmarks.

In excellent condition. Stands firm on table or serving tray. The rams heads, shell and scroll retain their original detail. Scattered tiny dints along base edges.
