We are pleased to offer this exceptional William IV whippet teapot.

One of the most coveted designs in early 19th century silver.

Period engraved family crest. Eagles head atop ruffled banner framing \"Suffer\".

From Benjamin Preston in 1837. First listed in 1825.

In raised wide panel fluted melon form.

Well cast and fit petal edge fluted cover. Topped with regal seated whippet, or should you prefer greyhound. Satin like fur and rich life like features.

Leaf frame anthmion center scroll feet.

Hallmarked, leaf cap paneled handle, original heat stops.

English 1837 whippet teapot is 11 1/2 inches handle to spout and 5 3/4 tall and 26 standard ounces.

Extensively hallmarked as shown.

Excellent condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. The seated whippet and anthemion work retain their original detail. Interior clean as if little used. Cover closes firm. Few mild scuffs and dints.
