A superb re-creation of a c1820 design.

From Barker & Ellis, Birmingham in 1978.

Classic oval with scallop rim.

Vine framed leaf united by petal gadroon streams.

The in-curved side wall with French inspired leaf and berry stream.

The center with hand engraved shell and floral sprays. Long sweeping wisps of vine and diamond pattern medallion.

Atop feathered leaf cap vine and scroll feet.

Never monogrammed.

This English sterling Geo III style tea tray is 30 inches across handles and 19 across and weighs 167 standard ounces.

Hallmarked as shown.

In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. The beautifully carved shell and floral retain their original detail. Mild wear from very careful use.
