If you collect tatting shuttles, this book is a must. It\'s been out of print for over a year and has just come back in. The author\'s history is excellent and well researched. She focuses on American shuttles (though covers others) and covers every known type and material. There are chapters on American silver hallmarks found on tatting shuttles, patented shuttles of every description, contemporary shuttles and tatting tools & kits. She covers shuttles made of gold, silver, metal, enamel, ivory, bone, mother of pearl, wood, tortoise, horn and plastic. It is very well illustrated with both color and black and white photos.
