JOANIES AMAZING 4-DAY CHINESE ESTATE sale

Hi, thank you for having a look at my sales.Listed this week is our largest and most important Chinese art estate sale we have ever held. The items currently listed in this four-day sale are choice examples we have been saving from Important estate collections over the past year. This sale includes session one: important and fine jade and stone carvings sale, session two: fine Qing porcelains, session three: Rare Song and Ming dynasty ceramics, and the last session four: featuring a variety of Chinese art including examples from noted and highly sought after Chinese artists. This sale includes many exceptionally rare documented examples including some with Imperial provenance. We will most likely not host another sale with this volume of exceptional and rarely seen examples for many years to come.

Up for sale is a Superb Chinese Carved White Jade and Silver Enamel Box. The Box is very finely hand made throughout with fine silver enamel designs and richly gold gilt mirrored interior. The lid and base fit perfectly and tightly together. The Box is mounted with a superbly carved pure white jade plaque. The superb qualities of the carving would indicate the jade plaque was carved in the 18th to earlier 19th century, most likely out of an imperial ruyi scepter. The jade plaque is carved of a superb hu of pure white natural jade that has no inclusions or imperfections throughout the stone. The box and jade plaque are in excellent original condition with no damage. The jade plaque could use a light cleaning but we never like to touch anything like this. The box displays beautifully measuring 3 5/8 inches long, by 3 inches wide, and 3/4’s of an inch tall. The jade plaque itself measures 3 1/4 inches long, by 2 5/8 inches wide, and is approximately 3/8’s of an inch thick. This box is the finest quality example like this I have seen. I believe it could be some time before you see another example of this quality being offered with !
