Hi, thank you for having a look at my sales.Listed this week is what I believe to be my finest antique silver sale I have ever held to date. I have held hundreds of silver estate sales over the years being our specialty. Although this is not my largest sale by volume, I believe this sale has the largest amount of quality and choice examples that I have ever offered at one time. The items are from a prominent and important estate collection that I have been commissioned to liquidate. A large portion of the pieces being offered are family heirlooms. The items listed are from the private family collection of choice examples that were kept over the years in a large walk in vault. I almost fainted when I was invited into the vault and seen this amazing treasure trove! Up for sale with is an exceptional quality19th Century Dutch Sterling Silver Sugar Castor or Shaker. The Castor is of exceptional quality and modelled as a fully figured King Fisher Bird. The Castor shows amazing quality throughout with the finest details I have seen on aDutch piece of this age. The Castor is fully Hallmarked forDutch Silver as well as having English Import Hallmarks throughoutfor Berthold Hermann Muller (active 1911-1922), Sterling Silverand London Hallmarks for 1913, though I believe it is much older than this and was imported as a vintage piece at this time. The Castor is in excellent all original condition with no damage or repairs and the head screws on nice and tightly. The Castor also displays beautifully measuring 4-1/2\" tall by 5-1/4\" long overall with a quality weight of175 grams. I am sure this Sugar Castor is a very Rare find and doubt you will find another like it, especially up for sale with as all my sales have run for over 10 years.
