Beautifulaesthetic movement design - fabulous quality pierced and chased engraving of a Heron with fish catch in beak, ReedWarbler in flight and pond scenes and panels.High Victorian aesthetic movementchased decoration very intricate and very well executed , a true quality piece obviously from atop silversmith and the decoration in the manner of Dr Christopher Dresser.

The beautiful aesthetic movement handles are substantial and made from carved faux ivory in thebamboo style , fitted with intricate solid silver collars. The collars are hallmarked for Sheffield there is no date letter although there isa part struck makers stamp, this was the handle and collar ferrule makers mark and probably not the maker of the main servers. Please see the close-up picture.

Theservers areinvery goodantique usedcondition , commensurate with materials , great age anduse.

The silver plate isgood ,clean , bright and even in colour , no plate rub and onlylight surface fair wear , quite minor usage marks and above average for the great age.

The Faux ivory handles are also good , just relatively minor surface wear and marks , no cracks and no large chips. The handles are secure andsolid silver collars are ingood order.
