CPR Fairbanks Morse Diesel Builder\'s Plate from Class H16-44 - CPR DRS-16d

When Canadian Pacific Railway discontinued their transcontinental passenger service, they sold most of their inventory through their \'CP Bygones\' shop opened in the mid 1970\'s. This seller purchased this set of two plates directly from CP Bygones (see photo #9 of wrapper with Bygones catalogue number) and has stored them for 40 years. This is a CLC (Canadian Locomotive Company) set of plates from CPR Baby Trainmaster unit, #8551. This FM unit had serial #2894 (see photos #1 & 2) and was built in 1955, fire damaged in Nov. 1972 and retired. CPR only had 40 of these units built by CLC.

The brown tone on both plates is not rust but grime which should be easily removed if desired. The plates are made of sheet aluminum with stamped information embossed on the plates. It is rare to find both the diamond shaped plate and the \"Powered by FM\" plate from the same engine.

Seller has set price on this rare set of builder\'s plates.

Buy in confidence from a 100% rated seller.

Winning buyer will receive all photos and history sheet of this engine.
