Fairchild J44 Turbojet Jet Aircraft Engine
Price: US $1425.00
For sale is a Fairchild J44 jet engine. I obtained this engine from a former USAF pilot\'s personal collection, and it is thought to be functional. It runs on Jet-A or Kerosene. The bearings seem good, and the shaft spins freely. I have not tested the starter or igniters. It all seems to be there, apart from what needs to be connected to for electrical and fuel supply. This would be a blast to use on an exhibition racecar, experimental aircraft or just to do like some guy on YouTube does firing his J44 up in the driveway of his suburban neighborhood for fun. Maybe just clean it up and hang it in your shop or mancave. Who else do you know with a real jet engine? It\'s quite small and light for a real aircraft jet engine. The tag reads:
