A Fine Georgian Silver Pocket Corkscrew. Picnic Sheath type corkscrew . Silver screw on sheath to cover the grooved helix. Fantastic bright cut engraved decoration to silver sheath and shaft. Bone or similar turned handle. Marked to the base with maker mark I.L or J.L . Possibly scottish aberdeen provincial maker John Leslie - certainly the engraved decoration does not appear to be the normal type of decoration associated with the more common Birmingham made corkscrews of the period. In good condition, no chips or cracks to the handle. The sheath and worm in good condition. Slight denting to the base. A fine Georgian example. Approximately 3.25\" long .
