Excellent Quality Antique Scottish Solid Silver Salt Cellar; Edinburgh 1879Fine and unusual piece. It stands steady on3 superbly cast dragon legs which are situated on the outside of the bowl. It features intricate hand chased work all over depicting celtic knots and dragons. It has a blank never used cartouche for the owners initials. Skilfully made by William Marshall and crisply hallmarked for Edinburgh 1879
Tactile and beautifully proportioned with a height 58mm.
It is made from a good gauge of solid silver and feels heavy for its size at 54g
