This is for a very fine original cut glass Victorian decanter / claret jug.It is complete and is free of any tears,cracks,chips,splits,nibbles,dents or damage,repair or restoration to either the cut glass or the solid silver top & handle,there are couple of very minor dings to the silver top but these are not that noticable.The superb solid silver handle is free of any damage,repair or restoration.The decanter is hallmarked on the collar and on the inside of the lid,clearly seen in the photo\'s provided.The hallmark is for Birmingham with the letter M for the year date 1886.The makers initials D & M,D for David & Maurice Davis are alongside the hallmarks clearly seen in photo 2.The decanter / claret jug measures approximately 8 1/2\" in height,5 1/4\" from handle to spout and 2 1/2\" in diameter at the base and just over 4\" in diameter at its widest point.It weighs an impressive 684g.This is a very fine antique period piece indeed.Good luck in your offerding.
