I try to keep a nice mix of fine and costume pieces that range in age from 19th century Victorian to late 20th century vintage designer couture. I\'m listing a small, but interesting group this week. Fresh from a fine Northwest estate comes a magnificent vintage Mexican sterling silver and amethyst bracelet. I believe this piece is by Adan Alvarado. The \"TA-08\" mark found on this piece is associated with Alvarado. He had worked for Matilde Poulat and the overall style and pyramidal faceted amethysts are reflective of that. The bracelet is beautifully crafted and measures approx 7 1/2\" long (the interior measures approx 7\" around with a soft tape when closed) x 1 1/4\" wide. Each amethyst measures approx 1/4\"(6.5mm) x 1/4\"(6.5mm). It is marked \"MEXICO TA-08 925\" on the underside and weighs approx 83.6 grams. The overall condition is very fine with small chips on two amethyst(this is only noticeable on close inspection).
