This is the most beautiful original USGI M1 Garand stock set that I have ever seen.  It is original 1950\'s US military production and has a FANTASTIC deep, crisp, correct, and original US Department of Defense (DOD) eagle cartouche.  It is correctly firing proof-marked \"P\" under the wrist.  This stock set includes the buttstock, front & rear handguards and is 100% complete with all the metal hardware except for the long buttplate screw and rear sling swivel.  It is solid walnut, with beautiful grain, and stunning hand-rubbed oil finish on the wood.  All the metal parts are dark grey original military parkerized and near minty.  The metal has no rust, and the stock has no cracks or splits.  It has NO post-factory or foreign markings whatsoever.  It is professionally bedded in the action area for accuracy.  The front handguard is solidly arsenal reenforced with two dovetailed pieces of walnut.  This is the finest original USGI M1 Garand stock you will find.  Perfect to restore your rifle.  Most of the Garand stocks you see are worn-out, greasy, covered in non-US markings, damaged and with nearly illegible USGI markings if they have any.
