This Flow Blue chocolate pot is one of the most sought after La Belle China pieces that Wheeling Pottery manufactured. It is very collectable, holding it\'s value all through the years. In Jeffery Snyder\'s \"A Pocket Guide To Flow Blue\" a chocolate pot like this was valued at $1200 - 1500.
This chocolate pot was a wedding gift to my grandparents and has been treasured and very well cared for by three generations where it has graced our homes. Alas, we are downsizing and it is too lovely a piece to be packed away in storage where no one can enjoy it\'s beauty. So, I prefer to give it a new home where it will continue to be valued and enjoyed.
CONDITION: Very nice condition! I found no cracks, chips or repairs. Very light crazing in places--some crazing present on the bottom as shown in the pictures. The pot sits firm but has a very slight movement when set down due to the design of the bottom. The gold gilt is in wonderful condition. The inside is free of stains or blemishes.Please do use the photo enhancer to best assess the cosmetic condition of this chocolate pot.
CIRCA: The marking on this pot was used from 1893-1910.
MARKINGS: As shown in the photo, the Wheeling Pottery Co. makers mark is a torch with double eagles, the initials WP and LaBelle China.
MEASURES: Approximately 10\" tall.
