A recent estate sale find. I was fascinated with it. I had never seen a piece of flow blue china with such a realistic looking picture on it. I don\'t know if this was made to depict a Halloween witch or something else. It certainly is a witch though. I\'ve never seen another even close to it. The tray is 12 1/4\" x 8\". It depicts two sweet little girls in their Victorian finest, sitting among some birch trees, staring at a tiny person (or doll?) that appears dressed in a witch costume. When you look closely she seems to have a cane in her right hand and a wand? in her left. You can see the point on the hat. The front is fine except for some fine crazing you have to look close to see, no chips cracks or browning. The back is another story. It has a chip at the top and discoloration as well as the bottom. The last 4 pictures show the top edge from the back, then from the front, the the bottom edge the same way. I bought it because it displays well despite the back and I thought some collector would like it. It\'s a fun piece.
