This large 11.8mm bore, classic beauty is 105 years old, SN: 18782. Bell reads, \"New Proportion made by Frank Holton & CO Chicago Couturier Model.\" Beautiful deep floral engraving and pearl top finger buttons. Beautiful original silver plating is almost entirely intact with just a few nicks and scratches and a few tiny finger wear spots. No dents other than a small crease to the bell, which can be seen in the photo. Engraving is sharp and clear, valves have some pitting and a little lateral movement but decent compression. All slides pull and main tuning slide stop operates smoothly and easily. No evidence of repairs, but it looks like the bottom valve caps were attacked with players at some point. A high pitched slide set, original music lyre, and original case in reasonably good condition are included. A classic, nice playing horn would be perfect with replated valves.
