This is for a nice French art deco pocket compact and powder puff made from some form of bakelite or similarearly plastic. It has a beautiful gold on black design with young ladies dressed in stylised art deco clothes very typical of the era. The top unscrews and you push the inner tube to extend the puff which fans out. The other end unscrews to store the loose powder. It is marked \'Made in France, Modele Depose, France, PLI\' whose primary client was Molinard. It is in excellentcondition with no chips or cracks and the imagery is clear. It measures84mm (3.25\") long by20mm (0.75\") in diameter.
