I personally restore each and every clock which I sell myself, and have done so for 28 years.
This exquisite and ornate 1894 C. Ansonia Enameled and Lacquered Iron Mantel Clock runs and strikes perfectly, and is being offered for sale at!!! This clock has the Hand Painted Porcelain Dial and Beveled Glass, which was offered as an upgrade to the standard Models.
The entire case of this clock has been disassembled, painstakingly cleaned down to the bare metal, and then laquered with over 50 coats of hand applied lacquer, then hand polished, restoring the clocks mirror like luster.This clock is Immaculate inside and out. It is, in my opinion, in Far Far better than average condition.
The Columns and Top of this clock have been Faithfully and Correctly HAND PAINTED to the Exact Colours of the Original Marbelizing, and then Lacquered with 10 Coats of Hand Applied Lacquer!
The ornate incision carvings which adorn the front of this case have been painstakingly cleaned by hand, and re-filled with 18 kt. liquid gold leaf.
The All Original Hardware for this clock has been immaculately cleaned by hand, and then correctly re-Gilded using 18 kt. Gold Dore', and the slightest hint of antiquing glaze to bring out the deep ornate castings, as when they were first made.
After careful cleaning, The Original Hand Painted Porcelain Dial has been re-placed in the dial pan, and a Correct Replacement Beveled Crystal has been reset into the fully functional and tight-closing bezel. The Porcelain Dial bears One Very thin Longitudinal crack which does not bear any repair or replacement, as well as the expected chips at the edge of the arbor holes commensurate with its age.

The All Original Signet Stamped Ansonia Movement is IMMACULATE!!!. It hasbeen completely disassembled, each gear and pinion hand cleaned, Brand New Springs set in, reassembled, re-cleaned and oiled, and the clock is keepingperfect time, striking the half-hour on a crisp cup bell, and counting the hours on a deep rich cathedral gong. It is a ten day movement,so it must only be wound once per week. The clock will be delivered with a correct new brass key and pendulum, ready to be adjusted to keep time in your own home. Iwill be happy to include an instruction sheet on the starting and adjustment ofthis clock to keep correct time to the winning buyer if he or she so desires.
This Clock measures 12" Wide x 14" Tall x 7" Deep, and weighs in at 30 Lbs. packaged for shipping.
Any home would be far the richer for having a beautiful anddevoted friend to call the hour for a century. And in your lovinghome, with proper care and maintenance, this friend will call the hour for atleast a century more!!!

I must apologize for the oversight of a typo I have noticed in this listing. As evidenced in the Photographs, Both the hour and Half-Hour are sounded on the Cup bell of this clock, as there is no Gong.
