Fully working, original first-version Commodore PET 2001 (110V). This particular computer was produced in mid-1978 according to the date codes on the chips. The Commodore PET 2001, along with Apple II and Tandy TRS-80 Model 1 formed the \"1977 trinity\" which was the revolution on home computing that led to the modern computers we use today. As such it is a real piece of history.
I have had to replace one of the ROM chips with a modern replacement, but I will include the original (probably defect) chip in the sale. I have also noticed that the processor is Signetics, I would have expected a MOS one but I don\'t know if that is original (after all Signetics was official second-source to MOS technology). If this is an issue I can replace the processor to a MOS one at buyer\'s cost.
As can be seen from the pictures the computer has some dents and scratches, it is not new after all but it is fully working. The game tape is not included.Due to the size and weight of the computer I have set the shipping cost to 200 USD. That is a \"worst case\". If it turns out less expensive I will refund the difference.
