If you like old skid steers, you are going to love this Gehl HL4500. I’m not sure what year it is, but they were made between 1977 and 1981. The hour meter was removed, so I do not know the hours. But judging by how it runs, it is low time. This machine runs great and has the 40 HP Ford industrial gas engine. The machine has hydrostatic drives and seem to have plenty of power. It has a rated operating capacity of 1,150 lbs. The bucket is 65” wide and comes with a removable tooth bar. The bucket and tooth bar are excellent. It needs a few things to make it perfect. The drive stick will not center to neutral. It may need some sort of springs. It also has a tilt cylinder that is seeping and needs to be re-packed. The boom cross member has been welded (see photos). It has a new battery and the tires are good. The tires have about 70% tread left. Don’t miss out on an old original Gehl!
