GENUINE MID-LATE VICTORIAN BEADWORK CUSHION

C.1870s

You arelooking at rather dramatic antique Berlin woolwork beaded cushion.

Thisincredibly stylish cushion was once a pole screen! Such a great use for a redundant object.

This cushionconsists of clear and coloured glass beads as well as gold colour metal ones.

Insidethe blue border,there are some cut steel ones, these areon the sides of the beaded circles……….For some strange reason they have all have rusted ! I have to say, they blend in quite well.

Thedimensions are:

19 x 17inches approx. to the point)

The back isa light maroon / deep red velvet.

Overall itis in good condition, there are not many missing beads, but I do have to say,you do get the occasional one that has/will drop off, old age etc. There is no fading to the woolwork.
