Genuine Native Cherokee Indian Splint River Cane \"Shopper\" Basket by Helen Smith. Comes with original authentication tag from the Indian Arts and Crafts Board as a certified Indian enterprise recognized by the U.S. Department of the Interior. Made of river cane and stained using walnut dyes. Very nice condition. This basket has 2 carved wooden handles. No broken pieces or flaw. Outstanding workmanship. Basket measures 13 inches wide , 9.5 inches tall and 7 inches deep. Purchased at the Qualla Arts and Crafts Mutual Co-op. Hwy, 441 on the Eastern edge of the Great Smoky Mountains.
