SELLING SOME OF MY PERSONAL DOLL COLLECTION
As I continue to go through my lifetime doll collection, I find it is hard to let them go, but I have made the decision.
All of my dolls have been displayed in a cabinet with a plexi-glass front.
For the most part they were kept from dust, but they are not 100% perfect, so may need cleaning or their clothes laundered.
I am not going to take the time to do that, and instead offering them just as they are. I have taken lots of pictures of every detail, but let me know if you have questions. This doll is one of my more favorite Madame Alexander Elise dolls that I have. She has such a pretty face, and her hair is soo nice. Noting her face style - she has a little bit different face than the older Elise dolls, so maybe it\'s called the \"Marybel\" face? But, not really.... I am not sure, but she was made later than the first Elise\'s I am sure of that. The ballerina tutu / dress is tagged, so I am certain it is original to the doll. The undies are attached. She has replacement pink ice earrings and then please notice older flowers going across the top of her head. She has gorgeous cheek color, her lips are perfect, as are her eyes and lashes. She is missing ballet slippers and possibly \"tights\" if she was supposed to have had those. I just never got around to buying her replacement slippers, but I am sure there is a place on the internet that sells doll shoes & accessories, or even look on for them. I can\'t remember the specific place I acquired this doll, maybe at an estate doll sale or similar. I used to buy a lot of my dolls from Collector\'s United, a printed publication, throughout the 1980\'s, into the 1990\'s, BEFORE and BEFORE the internet itself, so hard to say where she originated from. She has no cracks or damage. She does have a small mark on the backside of BOTH of her lower arms - see pictures. The one on the right might clean off with Soft Scrub, but the one on her left arm appears to be ink, and permeated right in to the vinyl. Obviously they don\'t glare out at you as they are on the backside of her as you would display her.Her right arm (socket) is a bit contrary, and the arms may need to be re-strung. The left arm goes UP and holds a ballerina pose easily, but the right one will not. I would say they need to be re-strung, but not a big deal. Otherwise, see all pictures, I think I have covered everything, but youarenever sure if you have provided enough info through the description and pictures.
