This is a great old gothic (or architectural) shelf trumpeter. It has 2 horns, but it plays 3 notes and strikes a gong. It is pretty tall at 27\" by 14 1/2\" by 8\". It has a large spring driven cast brass movement stamped \'G.H.S. F.\' To get three notes, the first horn plays twice followed by the second horn and the gong strikes--the trumpeter figure swings out the double front doors on the hour and half half hour in time with the horns. It comes with 2 old bone hands, bone grommets in the winding arbor holes, and old numbers on the dial. The case is solid, clean, in good shape with a replaced top carving It has been running, tooting, and striking well, but stops a short of its full time.
