From Great Britain, a Large Silver Medal for the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1887. Official issuefrom the Royal Mint. Medallist L.C. Wyon after Sir J.E. Boehm (obv) and Sir Frederick Leighton (rev). References: BHM No. 3219; Eimer No. 1733; Fearon No. 338.1 and Commemorative Medals of South African Historical Interest.

Silver. Diameter 77.4 mm. Thickness at rim 5.6 mm. Mass 217 gm. In very good condition. No rim/edge damage. Hairline rub marks in the mirror fields (see image where lighting exaggerates the hairlines). The patterns which appear in the fields are reflections from the lighting. Comes in the original red case from the Mint. Case is a bit scuffed and the catch does not work.
