We are pleased to offer this superb Chinese porcelain jar that we recently acquired out of a New England estate. The jar dates to the 18th or 19th century and displays a detailed and continuous scene around the body of figures. The quality of the art work is exceptional as can be seen in the photos and is executed in a vibrant underglaze blue. It stands on a tall hand cut foot which reveals a snow white paste. The jar stands 9.25 inches (23.5cm) tall and is in excellent condition with no damage, just some scratching to the glaze. The jar comes with a carved wood stand and a metal cover which appears to be possibly silver. A wonderful Chinese porcelain blue and white jar .(#4519-1)
