GREAT Vintage Navajo Sterling Concho Belt w/ Wonderful Arrowhead Stampingfrom the Harvey Era $1,695
DESCRIPTION: There are SO many reasons this is a great concho belt especially if you are a lady or smallerman in stature. Lets face it, there\'s a ton of concho belts out there but few that are truly classic in designthat compliment an outfit rather than take it over..... BELTS LIKE THIS DO NOT COME UP OFTEN.....
This belt consist of ten 2 1/4\" domed silver conchoswithscalloped edges highlighted with crescent stampsand a band of arrowhead stamps. The dome centers are polished silver and contrast nicely with the texturedstamp borders.... The weight of the conchos is PERFECT,not too heavy yet substantial in thickness to preventbending of the conchos.... Its possible these conchoswere made from old silver dollars as the weight of thebelt is approx 10 troy oz... Inthe center are wonderfulset round pieces of turquoise that show the age ofthis belt.... many have cracks and show enough wear togive the belt agreatvintagelook...
The first concho (opposite the buckle) has a pin clasp soldiered on the back, I assume this is to keepthe belt in place when wearing over pants or a dress and not thru belt loops..... The conchos are inexcellent condition, no dingsordents or bent edges which is rare for a belt of this age... The black & tanleather is in great shapeand is long enough (42\") to shorten for most waist. Existing belt holes are at:35 1/2\", 36 1/2\", 37 1/2\", 38 1/2\"and 39 1/2\" making this versatile belt for a man or woman.....Because the belt strap is so narrow, the weight of this belt (320g) is mostly silver......This SPECTACULAR belt is RARE, its hard to find belts with the simple round conchos with thin leatherstrap, the look is clean and classic.....This belt does not look like it\'s been worn very often and is in overallwonderful, vintage condition.... This is NOT one to pass up..... YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED !!!

NOTE:ALL photos were shot on an iPhone5. In addition, the coloron my monitor isbound to differ from yours. These pieces have been sitting for four years, somehavetarnished more than others, I have lightly cleanedthe most tarnish pieces only to thepoint that I could get reasonably clear photos. Silver used in older piececontain differentalloys thanmodern silver which is an indicator to the age of the piece. IF the piece is notstamped STERLINGthen I am assuming it is \"coin\" silver (.900) . None of the items I havefor sale have been tested. That said, I am a silver collector and would not purposelydescribe or sell anythingknowinglybeingless than \"coin\" silver. On pre-war pieces andFred Harvey your guess is good as mine on the silvercontent, the true value of thosepieces have little to do with the metal content.ALL SALES ARE FINAL
