This sale is fora vintage tin lithographed windup Tap Dancer with the original box made inOccupied Japan by ALPS. This classic Americana toy is fantastic andaccompanied with the highly sought after original box. The tap dancer is standing on Lenox and 125thStreet corner in New York City, Harlem District – this tin is in very goodcondition –red jacket little rubs in fabric, small stain front pants top right. – other thanthat he appears very good. This toy hasfantastic action with sound!
This classic tintoy was tested and WORKS– when activated he moves his feet as if dancing and his arms move around in acircle. As he dances he makes adelightful tap dancing sound and his cane goes around in his hand for eyecatching amazement. The Tap Dancerhimself has a celluloid face has NOcracks or dents – his yellow hat is also perfect! The street sign is removable so it can gointo the box properly.
The box for thistoy is very clean, with wonderful detail and graphics of the Tap Dancer inaction! The box reads (ALPS MADE INJAPAN PATENT NO. 15139 DESIGN PATENT NO. 92497) – box is ORIGINAL. Box looks very good and very solid – looks like“old store stock” condition box top has small professional tear repair to side flap and corner - very difficult to see! – tears and damage to box bottom!

Length = 3 ½” (back of stand tooutstretched hand)
