Heddon \"Tom Hardy\"Rod

Vintage Heddon \"Tom Hardy\" bamboo fly rod. 8 1/2foot three-piece rod with two tips. Don\'tknow line weight. Black screw downlocking reel seat with patent number on ring.The wraps are black with red tips.The ferrules are black nickelsilver. Forward of the cork handle inked: Tom Hardy,8 1/2 - 2F. Includes original Tom Hardy marked bag and unmarkedaluminum tube that fits.

Rod not marked Heddon, but was made by them circa 1940\'s andequivalent to their model 20.

Rod is in about good fished condition. Reelseat finish shows wear and cork has minor normal soiling from use. One tip is about 1\" short at theferrule end and ferrule has been reset without windings. Tips have minor sets. No chips or cracks in cane. Fishable as-is.

Also, included is a 1960\'s era Wright & McGill or Phillipsontip blank, should new owner want to assemble a new tip section.
