For sale is a used, vintage,Hickok 800 tube tester. This was mybackup tester for the last couple of years.To reconfirm its functionality, I tested a 6BQ5, 6AQ5, and 6SN7 in the 9pin, 7 pin, and octal sockets last week.I am unsure of the last time this 800 unit was calibrated. Readings are close to my recently calibrated800A; the 6BQ5 tested at 5800 Gm on the 800 and at 6000 on the recentlycalibrated 800A.

Please see the photos to get a senseof the condition of the case and faceplate.The faceplate has no significant wear marks. A previous owner affixed 7 and 9 pinstraighteners on the faceplate to the left of the meter. Rotary switches positively engage at each numericposition and tube sockets are not loose.The roll chart is in good condition and moves freely. In the second photo you can see the 6SN7being tested. The case has normal wear,and the bottom is stenciled with “WESTERN SCIENTIFIC”.

I will pack this item well to include double-boxing it to help ensure safe delivery.
