This early Georgian chamberstick stands 100mm (4\") high x 140mm (5.5\") across the base and weighs 212 grams or 7 troy ounces. It is fully hallmarked for solid English sterling silver London 1784 with the makers mark for John Deacon and the incuse duty stamp which was only used for two years. It has an unusual family crest of gentleman wearing a hat and crown and a bead border. It has had a lot of use with the bead border having been polished through, the handle has been reattached and there is a small tear in the silver (photo8,9&10) and it is structurally sound and usable.
