This listing is for One Horsehair "Scalplock";(although multiples may be purchased). These are made from a dried and salted horsetail I traded for several seasons ago. I have wrapped Red trade wool around the base of each hairlock, because of the traditional importanceof one wearing the color Red. There is a loop of artificial sinew incorporated into the top of each Lock.

Length varies from about 10-17 inches,Wool wrap diameter about 3/4 inch

This makes a meaningful award to persons who are active in keeping their Heritage and Beliefs alive through works, dance, and sacrifice
