Ideal - Patti PlayPal - 36Inch Doll
This Ideal PattiPlaypal is from the early 1960’s and she is 36 inches tall. She isin good condition considering her age. Ibought this doll a few years ago dressed as she is now. She has Ideal Dolls andG-35 stamped on the back of her neck. The data stamped on her back is veryfaint and I was not able to photograph that. She has been wiped off and isclean but I have not removed her clothing or done anything with her hair sinceI purchased her.
Patti has auburnhair in the spit-curl style and she has paleblue eyes. Her hair is in pretty good condition. It does not look like it hasbeen cut but I am not sure. Her face color is good although she does have a rubon her left cheek. Her left eyelashes have a plug missing. Please see thepictures. She is vinyl. She is in playedwith condition. There are slightscratches and some small marks on her body - nothing major. Her stringing istight and her arms and legs move without any problems. There are no odors.
She iswearing a red and white check dress with an attached half slip. Her pinafore hasaged and is a yellowed-white color. There are a few reddish-stains on the laceof the pinafore. There are applique flowers on the two pockets on the pinafore.The outfit appears to be professionally made (it looks like the outfit in thebook) and it is old but I am not sure if it is the original outfit for thedoll. The Patti Playpal book states thepockets had apple appliques on them and this doll’s has flowers. The pinaforeback closure is a snap and the material around the snap is fraying. I did notremove the pinafore for pictures because of the condition of the material. Thepanties and socks are replacements. The shoes are also replacements. They are children’sblack patent shoes and they are old. They do not fasten completely but thestraps meet the buckle even though they are not long enough to fasten.
I have triedto give a good description of the state of the doll. She is a nice example ofthe Patti Playpal with the spit-curl hairdo. She is not pristine but she is inpretty good condition. The doll will be shipped in an Ashton-Drake playpal boxsince she does not have a box of her own. A stand will be included
