These is an interesting large vase with the hand decoration including the arabian scene ofwhich:
During our research we have been informed it certainlydates from 19th century and is of a French origin.

Wonderful overall intricate hand decoration:including:
the hand painted arabian scene of figures to one side with:
to the other: hand painted flower decoration.
Above the arabian scene:
the head of a female figurine looking to the side with a heraldic shield above which a further heraldic shield to the other side.
Lots of hand painted gilt decoration with its ornate decoration of scrolling and leaves.
Has a join centrally with a metal rod which has a nut to the base area.
It has an overall height of about 16inches.
Max overall size of the base of about 7 x 4.5inches.
Max overall dia centrally of about 9.25inches.
Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition is: has been subject to chipping to the scrolling centrally with chipping to the base of the top half.
Early restorationto the top of rear of which:
with today\'s modern and advanced restoration techniques the vase can certainly be improved.

Besides being a very collectable, extremely heavy, mid 19th century hand decorated vase with the hand painted scenes, including the arabian scene, centrally and other other ornate decoration of a french origin, c1860s, would also look fabulous displayed.
