Good LGA155 Board, Can Be Found at a Reasonable Price from Time to Time

PROS: Small size, solid construction. Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge CPUs can be bought at a bargain and provide great performance for basic use and light gaming. Browsing files is very snappy with an i5-2400, i5-3470 or i7-2600. These CPUs, especially the i7, can handle some modern games just fine. CONS: Mine came with the CPU fused to the heatsink. No onboard HDMI- DisplayPort only. No USB 3.0 front header. Well worth it for around $80-100 Canadian dollars, especially if a CPU is included.

  • Top critical review

Got what I paid for. An average product.

The pro: The price. Processor, motherboard, fan, and memory combo. If it was up another $10, I've would not of taken it. The con: Intel motherboard. Have to hunt down drivers. Found some but not all. Chipset driver are not available for this board. The LAN function failed on this board after a few days. Boot sequence takes longer than normal. Was not able to improve through the BIOS. Would I buy it again? No.

  • Died in under 36 hours...

I suppose 'warranty' is a little nebulous. This was installed and operable for less than 36 hours and wouldn't boot the third day. No response to query about 'warranty', but I suppose they couldn't if it worked when they had it, and afterwards it isn't their concern. But after two full days of operation it was a paperweight. I've been building and servicing PCs for over 30 years, so I'd say that I believe I know what I'm doing. Downloaded the manual directly from Intel and followed this during the entire install, but this MB booted up exactly nine times and died. New power supply, new RAM, and new heatsink/cooling. In my opinion I believe I did my 'due diligence', but once it is in your hands, and has booted up more than once then I guess they're gonna be 'wary', I suppose. I have to ...

  • Intel DQ67EP Mini Itx - Good board for home server or HTPC with Sandy Bridge

Chose this for value and compatibility with Linux. Perfect board for HTPC, somewhat fast depending on Proc and if you use SSD boot drive vs Hard Drive. Recommended? YES. I have trusted Intel boards for solid, long up time builds, NOT for overclocking. This board came with the most up to date BIOS applied. And while Sandy Bridge is long in the tooth it nevertheless makes a good basis for home server or HTPC. Four stars only because it's dated architecture, Five stars for what it is used for. • Gave me issues

It worked but out of the box it would turn itself back on when shut down. Also the network adapter would constantly disappear from Windows, making me unable to use the internet, maybe a driver issue but Intel doesn't support their motherboards anymore so you're on your own with this one. Returned it after a week.
