WLAN For Old And New Operating Systems
An overall excellent quality product for adding wireless capabilities to desktop PC. However, if there is anybody out there like myself who operates a triple boot system of XP X64, W7 X64, and W10 X64 on an Asus A88X PRO motherboard, there is one small caveat. One must install the driver manually on the XP system through Device Manager by using the Have Disk option whereas on W7 and W10, one can run the installer package as one normally would.An overall excellent quality product for adding wireless capabilities to desktop PC. The adapter itself is very nice and fast BUT
And this is important, the range isnt great on it, if your router is far away or you have some walls between the router and the computer, get some better antennas to use, once you do the connection will be much better and more stable and you will get good speeds. When I first installed this I was getting dropped connections and delays and thought it was the network at first, but then I realized it was the signal itself (even though it was showing 4 bars) that was choppy causing a choppy/dropped connection, I got a more powerful antenna and its been perfect since, quick to load pages and fast on downloads.And this is important, the range isnt great on it, if your router is far away or you have some walls between the router and the computer, get some better antennas to use, once you do the connection will be much better and more stable and you will get good speeds.
