    Works great with Comcast

It was time for us to upgrade from a DOCSYS 2.0 cable modem to a DOCSYS 3.0, and this one was a great value for the upgrade. It only took about five minutes to install and another five minutes to register with Comcast. I've been using it happily since then.

  • it was perfect, but not accepted by comcast

Here is an update. Not that it means anything this late, but my internet was cut off by Xfinity-Comcast here, and I called in 'why'? They claim this unit was in Maryland, and was still attached to an account there. So they would not allow me to use it any longer. Damn shame that they waited so long to figure that out. This is posted just as a head's-up in case anyone else buys a used unit like this. Comcast really ran me around terribly. I bought another new unit at Walmart. oh well......... I had a rental modem just like this one from Comcast-Xfinity, and this fit perfectly. I was able to return the rental and now save $10 / mo. WOW I spent hundreds I bet.... Had to call Comcast-Xfinity support to register the new numbers, but it works great!

  • It Was a Snap

I really didn't think it was going to be this easy to get it to work. I don't know why, but I just thought that it would be a real challenge to get Comcast to integrate it. I went to the Comcast place with my old modem (Ubee) and the info on this 3008 Cisco, and when I got home, everything was working. That was about nine months ago. It's been clear sailing (or surfing) ever since. An awesome surprise.

  • Good modem at a good price

I have two of these and they're good dependable modems. Nothing fancy, just good day in day out solid connection.
