If you're looking for a good gaming monitor, this is a fantastic choice. I got it for my xbox, and it's perfect. It's a no brainer for the quality you're getting for the money, with the multiple HDMI inputs, great picture and the extremely quick response time. You'll need separate speakers though, because the internal audio is garbage, just barely considered acceptable. That's the only reason I didn't give it five stars on features.
This monitor has proven to be better than expected. The price was great and the quality is excellent. Color and clarity are outstanding. It looks nice and the size of the stand is not intrusive on my desk. The sound is a bit tinny, but I did not purchase this monitor to listen to music. I am very satisified with the purchase of this monitor, plus I like the little birdies in the upper left hand corner.
Great deal. I now have 3 of these. If ViewSonic maintains their current quality and value level, I see no reason to look elsewhere. Nice frame, easy setup, great features including the tilt feature of the screen. Thanks for a job well done.
My TV died (I was using it as a computer monitor and TV) and I was forced to use an old 15" LCD monitor (YUK!). This Viewsonic had to perform double duty. It has an excellent picture (very sharp and crisp) and fits perfectly on my desk. The speakers don't sound very good, but I didn't buy it for it's sound! Some of the programs I use work very well with 2 monitors, so someday I'll definitely buy another one of these.
when maximum pixel setting is used...the bottom top and sides of the screen are cropped. The only way to get everything on the screen is to lower the pixel setting...making the screen rating technically correct but practically bogus. There does not appear to be a way to size the screen horizontally or vertically.
