Ok so the chip works very well however some of the solder points needed to be cleaned up and 1 point actually had to be added. I wasnt concerned about that but it works great i just dont know what the max size hdd it will support.

I bought a few of these to make my restored PS2 systems function with the OEM IDE hard drive add on, and it doesn't fit! There is no easy way to make it fit as I had to de solder the board and solder new wires to make it fit. This product will work in an old computer to convert it to SATA, which is what I did, but will NOT WORK ON A PS2!

Using this item on an old Western Digital WD2500KS hard drive limited to 130GB in a Pentium III system. Works in Windows 98SE and MS-DOS 7.1 with no issues.

Just some advice, cover the 4 metal molex points on the opposite side of the molex connection with electrical tape to avoid electricity damage to drive. A small step as precaution. This is the specific converter needed for original xbox mods sata drive upgrades. It has the slave/master jumper settings.
