Use of monitor: Gaming, Reading So this monitor has received mixed reviews but no one really decribes how they use it or what they've tried, so here: Pros: It's picture quality and lighting/brightness is very good to me. It's capable of reaching 60hz (or 60 frames) in 4k with the right DisplayPort Cable. The margin of the monitor that holds the actual screen is very thing, which is nice. A big plus on the wattage as I am constantly using the computer for hours a day. I'll be able to spend less electricity. Big screen size, and very clear to read text anywhere on the screen. Has HDMI, dvi, mini dp and regular dp inputs Also it's not mentioned but it has PIP. I don't know what version but I like it. Very useful if you know how to use it and need to multitask. Cons: You will need the manual to figure out what the buttons on it do or you can just press and play until you memorize them - no big deal to me. Here's the catch; the sound quality from the internal speakers are horrible (far worst than a gameboy - and no, not gameboy color). It's slightly worst than me putting my cell phone at max volume without speakerphone in my walk-in closet, close the door and talk. I can hear sound, but it's not melody/music friendly. Again, for me. I do not care about the internal speakers, but it's a nice plus to even have some. And no it has no output for external speakers. How do I get my sound? I just connect speakers directly to the computer, not the monitor. There is a sort of a washed off color or foggyness, but that can easily be fixed with almost any new video card that has color enhancement options or maybe even with the built-in OSD of the monitor. Nvidia and Intel Graphics usually have this color feature, I don't know about AMD. It's my first tilt monitor so for me this is great. How ever. When it's in portrait. I feel the need to have the monitor face my left a little (maybe 15 or 25 degrees) so that I can see the brightness evenly otherwise there is this slight dark gradience that you'll see on the right side. Again this is only an issue while it's tilted in Portait stance. Again, this is no issue to me as the monitor is big and its resolution clarity outweights this. Conclusion: Fair price for what you get. Sacrifice some crappy sound for great price and picture quality works for me.Read full review

This is a decent monitor for the money. Its refurbished so the bezels are not perfect but they had very minor surface imperfections which is cool with me for a refurbished product. Price was really good for a 28" 4k monitor without all the bells and whistles. Its got a speaker but they are not worth using unless you just need to hear simple noises. I had to get a new more expensive video card to run it at higher resolutions and I'll need an even better video card to play games at the higher 4k res lol. Wish it was IPS and 144hz refresh for gaming but for the cost it works well for everything, doesn't excel in anything particular, cept for size. Recommend if you need the size and resolution. Gaming will be best with what your system can handle but would recommend 144hz 1ms 23"-25" LCD monitors (bigger is not better for fps).Read full review

Monitor works and looks great. With the 4k feature, make sure your computer is adequate in power and graphics to utilize this function. The swivel base doesn't work very well, but I'm really not rotating it around, so that doesn't bother me. I recommend getting (2) of the same monitors with the same screen size and resolution. I have a 1920x1080 monitor next to this one 3840x2160 and there's a noticeable difference going from one screen to the other.

Pros -contains so many types of connectors (DVI, HDMI, Display Port, Mini Display port, audio jack) -has speakers -nice image quality -easy assembly, (there's only 3 steps) with no tools required -overall great value cons -takes a little while to startup when you turn off the screen -takes some time to get used to the button interface -personal issue (when I use this to play my game it takes a few seconds to load the screen after I join a match. I never experience this with any other monitor ever)

Given that it was refurbished, I didn't think much of the monitor when I ordered it. I mean I knew it was quality assured but not like practically new. The monitor is PRISTINE; great 4k quality, colors are amazing (after color calibrating on Windows), and no signs of use at all by far. Love it sooo much and the fact that I paid only 250 for this slaughters my understanding of value. By the way the monitor works best with DisplayPort 1.2 (included); achieve 4k at 60hz while eliminating ghosting and most issues found on other inputs.
